Taneisha was born and raised in Whitesburg, and she is happy to offer nurse-midwifery services to the women of Eastern Kentucky. She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelor of Science of Nursing. Then, Taneisha graduated Sigma Theta Tau with her Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2020.  She has spent her entire nursing career in women’s health, first as a labor and delivery nurse at UK Hospital, then as a labor and delivery nurse at Whitesburg ARH. She also loves to teach and has taught OB content to nursing students over the years.  Taneisha can see women from adolescence to beyond menopause. She provides well-woman care, primary care, gynecology care, pregnancy care, care during birth with one-on-one labor support, postpartum care, and lactational support.  Taneisha is board certified in nurse-midwifery from the American Midwifery Certification Board.
