Dr. Shabd Arya is a family medicine physician originally from Toronto, Canada. She earned her medical degree from Saint James School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency in 2022 with the University of Kentucky in Hazard, Kentucky. During her residency, she grew to love the close-knit community of Eastern Kentucky and decided to make Hazard her home. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the community where she trained and enjoys building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients and their families.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Arya enjoys traveling with her husband, discovering new foods and cuisines, and watching sports.
