(Program Director of Pregnancy and Beyond)
Dr. Morgan Birch is a native of Corbin, Kentucky. She graduated from
Corbin High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from
the University of Kentucky. She went on to attended medical school at
the University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Osteopathic
Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency with the
University of Kentucky and is board certified in Family Medicine through
the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Birch has been with Primary Care since graduating residency. Her scope of practice includes
treating pediatrics and adults as well as providing prenatal care and
delivering patients at Hazard ARH. She treats ADHD and provides well
child checks with vaccinations. She is the program director for
Pregnancy and Beyond, where she treats patients with opioid addiction
with medication assisted treatment as well as Vivitrol. Dr. Birch is
currently accepting new patients including newborns to adults as well as
pregnant and women’s health patients. She is also accepting patients
struggling with addiction through the Pregnancy and Beyond Program.
Dr. Birch is active in supporting Helping Hounds Find Homes, which is a
nonprofit organization she helped to co-found to find shelter animals
loving homes. She has a heart for shelter and rescue animals and has
rescued several animals personally during her lifetime. She spends her
spare time with her family and supporting the community in which she
holds dear.
